Applications
There are two application modes for the product: - Fixed and Mobile
Digital Media Surveillance.
The operational mode of the products in delivering Fixed Digital Media Surveillance is as indicated in Figure 1.

In this application mode the unit is in a control centre or in a structure with mains power supply available. The unit is
activated by the use of a computer mouse or motion sensor and it will alert clients using SMS text, email, and email
with media attachments. PC and mobile clients can access the unit over mobile or broadband communications
networks where they can access JPEG imagery, MPEG motion media of a recorded incident, or live video feed from
the CCTV cameras.
The operational mode of the products in Mobile Digital Media Surveillance is as indicated in Figure 2.

In this application mode the unit operates in a remote location from a battery power supply. A motion sensor or similar device activates

Product Family
The HNC100 is a remote video monitoring product that enables the monitoring of from 1 to 8 cameras and can be
scaled to support very large CCTV networks. The product converts analog CCTV video to digital video and is ideally
suited for distributing IP video over LANs, corporate Intranets and 2.5G GPRS/EDGE mobile networks. Its intended
applications area is in the distribution of local authority and corporate CCTV video over internal LANs and 2.5G mobile
networks.

The HNC200 is an alarm activated video capture, record and forward product that will email the recorded video to a
remote monitoring centre or to a mobile 2.5G terminal. The product will connect to sensors such as PIR, magnetic and
seismic detectors that will on activation send an email notification and video attachment to an email server, send SMS
to mobile devices and send Pager alerts to pager terminals. It is ideally suited to passive covert surveillance
operations where the video recording of the event is available within seconds of it occurring.

The HNC300 is an audio/video remote monitoring product that enables the monitoring of from 1 to 8 CCTV cameras
and from 1 to 2 audio feeds. The product converts analog CCTV video and analog audio to digital media and is ideally
suited for distributing audio/video content over LANs, corporate Intranets and 2.5G mobile networks. Its intended
application area is real time remote monitoring in detention centres, identification parades, interview rooms and for
distributing real time audio/video content to PCs and mobile terminals.

The HNC400 is an alarm activated audio/video capture, record and forward product that will email the recorded
audio/video to a remote monitoring centre or to a mobile 2.5G terminal. The product will connect to sensors such as
PIR, magnetic and seismic detectors that will on activation send an email notification and audio/video attachment to
an email server, send SMS to mobile devices and send Pager alerts to pager terminals. It is ideally suited for
perimeter protection where alarm activated audio/video media content is available within seconds of alarm activation.

The HNC500 is a mouse-activated video capture, record and serve MPEG4 and JPEG product for use in mobile
surveillance operations. On command from a centrally located surveillance officer, the product will capture live video
and save this data in onboard memory for web server and media streaming server access. These video files are then
accessible from fixed and mobile web browsers and motion media players over fixed line and mobile data networks.
The primary application area for this product is in policing outdoor events such as open-air concerts and sports
events.

The HNC700 The HNC700 communicates to an operations centre using the iridium satellite network. The HNC700 has a standby power consumption of 150mW making it ideal for remote and unattended covert surveillance operations. The HNC700/800 has an internal 434MHz coded radio receiver that will accept authorised sensor activations up to 1Km line of sight from the unit.

The HNC800 The HNC800 support GSM cellular, Iridium satellite and WiFi 802.11 communication networks. WiFi LAN is convenient for setup and configuration of the unit using a PDA or Laptop computer. The WiFi is also available for removing recorded media from the unit without compromising a surveillance operation or for accessing live video to access the threat before entering an area. The HNC700/800 has an internal 434MHz coded radio receiver that will accept authorised sensor activations up to 1Km line of sight from the unit.
